Hi, it’s Keiko.

On January 15th, all ten celestial bodies started moving in prograde motion!  This uncommon event normally only takes place for a few days during any given year, but in 2021 there are actually two periods when all ten celestial bodies will be moving in prograde motion ♪

In today’s post I’m going to tell you all about this rare phenomenon, and what things are likely to happen when it occurs.

What are the ten celestial bodies?

And what is prograde motion?

The ten celestial bodies refer to the Moon, the Sun, and the eight planets in the solar system excluding the Earth (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.)  These are the eight planets that are displayed on horoscopes.

As you know, these planets revolve around the Sun.  For your reference, here is a map of the Solar System showing the Sun, the Earth and the other planets.

In astrology, there is a phenomenon called “retrograde.”  During retrograde periods, planets don’t actually move in a reverse direction, but rather they appear to be moving in the opposite direction than they normally move when viewed from Earth.

The frequency and length of retrograde periods differs for each planet, with Mercury going into retrograde roughly two to three times a year, for approximately two to three weeks at a time, whereas Neptune and Pluto’s retrograde periods are much longer and can last for several months at a time!  Therefore, over the course of a year, it’s quite normal that at least one of the eight planets appears to be moving in retrograde at any given time.

‘All ten celestial bodies in prograde motion’ refers to situations when none of the ten celestial bodies is in retrograde.  In other words they all appear to be moving in the same direction.  Since it’s quite normal for at least one planet to appear to be moving in reverse at any given time, it’s actually a very rare and precious event when this happens.

A ‘ten celestial bodies prograde motion period’ is when not a single planet appears to be moving in reverse, or in other words, when all the planets appear to be moving in the same direction.

During these periods due to the fact that all the planets are moving in the same direction and cooperating with each other, things have a tendency to go smoothly or unfold in the way you want them to unfold.

On top of that, you are able to receive the backup of the entire Universe, so it’s the perfect time to start something new ♪

During these rare events, there are no obstacles impeding us, so we are able to move forward with the full force of the Universe on our side.

Let’s take a look at when the ten celestial bodies will be in prograde motion in 2021.  As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, there are two of these periods this year!

The first period is from January 15th to January 30th.

The second period is from February 22nd to April 27th.

As you can see, the first period is just over two weeks long, but the second period is an incredible 64 days long!  If you combine the two periods together it means that there are approximately 80 days when all ten celestial bodies will be moving in the same direction this year!

As well, during these two prograde motion periods, the following events are all going to occur:

  • February 27th    Full Moon in Virgo

  • March 13th        New Moon in Pisces

  • March 20th        The Astrological New Year

  • March 28th        Full Moon in Libra

  • April 11th           New Moon in Aries

  • April 26th           Full Moon in Scorpio

From a cosmic energy perspective, the fact that the Astrological New Year will be taking place right in the middle of all ten celestial bodies in prograde motion is like a gift from the Universe as we enter the new era!
